I just bought this game, but I can't install it on Linux because the MD5 checksum fails. The error message is:

Verifying archive integrity...Error in MD5 checksums: 7e28eefa15ba6b04ee8d9cc20f8c0cb7 is different from abe6119a210bb89317916bf3da580c55

I've tried downloading the installer several times with different browsers, but I get the same error message every time. Other games install fine. I'm running Linux Mint 17.2 Mate 64 bit.

Same problem here. I sent a support request, so I guess they'll repackage the installer next week.
A couple possible workarounds you could try in the meantime:

1. Run the Windows installer via WINE, and then run the game under DOSBox. This is the easier method. (If you have trouble, add /nogui to the installer command line and ignore the error message at the end of the installation.)

2. Examine the Linux installer and figure out how to disable the checksum test. Of course, it is possible that the resulting installed files might not be what was intended. (If gog.com accidentally put the wrong version of the game or forgot a crucial file, or if the file was corrupted when uploaded to the servers, that could be the cause of the error.)

Option 1 would be a good solution to get the game running on Linux. Option 2 will probably lead to problems. I think I will wait until gog repackages the Linux installer, which shouldn't take too long.

Anyway, thanks to both of you for your replies.

I just tried the installer again and it works now. Thanks!
