Hi,

This is my first time playing Alone in the Dark! I love survival horror games and have wanted to play the one that started it all for a long time. One question -- in these games I like having multiple saves, if possible. So far, I've only been able to have one save game. Is it possible to make a second, or have multiple quick saves? If so, how? Thanks!

Pretty sure you can only have one save in the first one. No quick saves. In the second one (and later?) you can have multiple saves but there is a limited number of save slots.

Good luck.

Thanks! The way things are going ... I'm gonna need it.
You can have 6 save files in AITD 1+2, and pages of 6 saves in AITD3
In 1+2, to make a new save without overwriting the old one, just press the down arrow, it goes to a blank space, then type in a new savegame name.

Sweet I had no idea that worked in the first one.
