First of all, I'm absolutely THRILLED that these games are finally here as I've been waiting for them for the past year. THANK YOU! I'm buying it as soon as I make this post.

A minor gripe I have though...why are Alone in the Dark 2 & 3 released as "bonus content"? I was hoping we would get a release like the official "Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3" like this:

http://www.mobygames.com/game/alone-in-the-dark-the-trilogy-123

The box art would look way cooler. If not, it's no big deal, I'm just glad these games are finally here. Just a suggestion. =)

Edit: I also remember there being a newspaper included with the floppy disk version of the first Alone in the Dark that fleshed out the story more. That was cool.

I still got that Newspaper, and also the one for Aitd 2 & 3 :)

Are these newspapers in the Manuals or other extra content? Hm. Maybe someone scanned it and posted it online.
You probably already know this if you've already bought the pack, but while 2 and 3 are 'bonus content' they are in no way dumbed-down. They got the full GOG facelift complete with soundtracks and in-game CD audio. Though if your complaint is just the principle of having them called 'bonus content' instead of making it look like a trilogy... yeah. I get ya.

I don't guess anyone has a scan of this fabled newspaper, do they? I'd love to see it. I never had the privilege of getting my hands on a boxed version.

Due to the infamous "licensing reasons".

That's interesting. Am I correct in assuming that "Infogrames Europe SA" owns the rights to the first game, while 2 and 3 are owned by Atari? Or is it more complicated than that?

I don't know; I'm not the bizdev guy. I was just told "licensing reasons" when I asked that exact question.

My guess is that creepy clown from the intro of the second game.
