ussnorway: The most likly answeer is that the files for cheats are not in (
this copy) of the game. The stated idea is to test muliplayer and it's hard to see how this has any thing to do with that but good luck with it anyway.
Which is why I didn't post this in the multiplayer feedback thread and made a new topic for it. If a feature is broken, tech team need to know so it can be fixed, regardless of the state of release. I can also scroll through all the other cheats I've unlocked so far without a hitch, it's just this one single entry that causes the game to crash. Multiplayer doesn't have anything to do with it, this is all singleplayer stuff.
MadMaxRW: Very strange. I just tried this on both the Steam and GOG versions and it didn't crash. The Marine bonus mission loaded fine with the Freefall cheat activated.
Hmm, odd. Well, my problem isn't loading the level, that loads fine, it's just trying to highlight the cheat in the menu. Unfortunately, I don't get any kind of error message, the game just locks up entirely, forcing me to kill it through the task manager.
SleepyChef: AvP isn't released on GOG yet. This "special" release was offered only to beta-test participants and comes bundled with Galaxy so it's not ridiculous to suggest some features are limited/disabled.
Except why would this one specific, unlock-able cheat for the singleplayer be disabled in such a manner that simply highlighting it in the menu causes the game to crash? Doesn't make sense. As far as I can tell so far, having beaten every Alien mission, and nearly all the Marine missions, the game is 100% intact, minus a couple of minor issues. Nothing has been removed either by Rebellion, or GoG.
This is, plain and simple, a bug. :3
