In Alba, you can save photos you take, but what isn't clear is that these are not in-game photos, but screenshots. They are saved to your Windows Pictures folder. Press 'O' in-game to save a screenshot. They are not used for your bird watcher book, which is populated with automatic photos whenever you successfully identify an animal.

Great little kids game!

Just finished Alba and only then discovered that the in-game photos aren't saved. I wish I'd read your helpful tip of pressing 'O' to save screenshots earlier. But as the game is so super casual and relaxing, maybe I'll do a second playthrough sometime, clicking O a lot of time to make screenshots!
