I know it's not a recent game but hey : why not ?

Alan Wake on Steam has Achievements.
They (Remedy) really should bring those over to GOG version.

I do believe all games should have their own Offline Achievements section built into the game - and then it's up to the dev's to make them be able to be implemented and integrated for uploading them up onto Steam or GOG.
