Bro, Day 23

Then tell the indies to stop attacking me!

Bro, Day 22

Still closing in.

With all this talk about tightening the net and closing in, one would think our enemy actually manages more than capturing one defenseless gold mine per turn and immediately retreating afterwards.

I've only had my one peasant in your area for a long time. Everything else kept getting killed by various unaligned map devices (indies, the volcano), or rebelling, or was simply too slow to arrive before now.

I believe Southern triggered a quest to kill some infidels early in the game. When he was eliminated, they turned into scouts and started stealing mines and a city in my lands. That theft caused a shift in the delicate alignment of my forces, which triggered unit rebellions on multiple fronts. You can imagine the subsequent headache while I got things under control.

I think we've got this in the next turn or two, though, as my guys start trickling in.

No more Goblins on the surface sir.

I'm also pretty sure the surface has been cleared. I suppose we need to search nearby islands for possible enemies.

Initial explorations underground indicate that we can clear it too, but it will take awhile to amass the diggers and forces needed to clear the way.

Jyri, are we done here?

TS
We were done a long time ago, I just figured I'd see how long I could hold on.
I am impressed.
Nothing to be impressed about - after you died I just lingered without anyone attacking me as both Book and Mimo were otherwise occupied.
Southern, did you have the quest that spawned the infidel stack with the treeman? That treeman wrecked serious havoc on me, claiming a bunch of stuff and then vanishing into the trees for a turn or two.

I did have an infidel quest, but never saw them. They were to my north though.

That was them, then. A treeman and two trash units, I seem to recall.

Today I learned that if a player is eliminated, any infidels waiting for a kill turn into permanent roaming indies.
