G'day! I'm playing a scenario and my wizard can only spend 20 points of mana a turn, while my mana is in the bank up to two thousand points, and I just can't figure out how I'm supposed to be spending it!

Every turn I'm researching things, every turn I'm spending those 20 points to enchant units or summon units.

Thanks! So glad to see there's an active forum here.

If you've got enough of a buffer to support your active spells and summons, then you can put all your power income into Research and pay mana upkeep to use some of that mana.

As far as casting new spells, you can only spend as much mana per turn as your wizard has casting skill (heroes can also spend their casting skill in combat). Research the Casting Specialist 1-5 skills to increase the amount of casting skill your wizard has each turn. You can equip an item with the Casting Specialist (yes, same name) to increase your casting skill by 10 (this isn't stackable if you somehow get multiple items with Casting Specialist). Put your wizard in a town with a Wizard Tower and a Casting Chamber for an additional 10.

The baseline is 20. With 5 levels of Casting Specialist skill, that goes up to 70. You can reach the max of 90 per turn with a Casting Specialist item and Casting Chamber.
