You're welcome, but do note that this is the very first Age of Wonders game, published in 1999. Also, we're doing Play By Email - when you play your turn, you email it to the next person. This is great for people who are too busy or impatient to sit in one place for 4+ hours playing a match as a live game, but it does mean that battles between players have to be automated; only battles against AI or indies can be manually controlled.

Fortunately there's a fanmade program available - called the Age of Wonders Email Wrapper - which automatically downloads your turns from your email, and which automatically emails your turn to the next guy when you press 'end turn' in game - so you don't have to mess around with emails to play.

If you're still interested in playing, you will need to message me with the email address you intend to use for the game - many players make a new email just for that. Some people play without the Wrapper, but if you decide you want to use it, let me know - it can be fiddly to set up as there's a couple of special settings you need to enable in your email.

If you don't mind me flailing about cluelessly I'd love to try.

We typically use the version provided by GOG (Triump Standard 1.36), unless we all agree on a different version to use. I'm looking forward to seeing you in the games

Do we choose races and magic schools? Do we customise wizards? How many points?

I'd like to try out halflings as I usually shun them... But if this is assigned no worries! I'll accept whatever comes.

Be advised that a hotmail address won't work with the wrapper. There is a security related issue where hotmail changed some settings a few years ago, and now the wrapper can't use the functions it used to send email via hotmail.

A gmail address will work fine.

Since all other games seem to have died again, I would be interested as well.

Dwarves with 4 Life, 3 Air
Orcs with 4 Earth, 3 Water
Goblins with 4 Death, 3 Air

Incidentally all leaders start with Spellcasting III
