That's what you get for winning so hard! ;)
After easy fiddling with laptops and hard negotiating with the wife I've moved the hard disk to her laptop, they were the same model but hers a bit downspecced. So I'm back in the game!

...Until she wants it back -.-'

Sorry about the delay, now playing this one and all the other games. No restart! Woop! I was wondering whether a different machine notice wouldn't cause it, but apparently the same disk is enough.
Prince Stefanus, day 7

The emperor position a single troop very well, forcing me to sacrifice all my meatshields. But after that strangely he then divides his troops, and in this way we can finally attack general Marcos, avenging the razing of the elven capital. Despite the vengeance, my beloved Sarah does not rejoice - the elves perished in the pillaging weigh her conscience down, and will do so for centuries more.
Drow Day 7,

The young prince sees the wisdom in my words and abandons the item, which turns out to be an interesting suit of armor. Nevertheless, our gold and mana situation remains critical, and we desperately need to get back to looting if we are to stay out of the red.

Goblin / Orcs Day 7

Not a lot going on. We slowly explore. With lots of caution.

Still not sure what we're supposed to do about the overpowered Level 15 hero and his full stack of units that are my race and alignment, but not willing to join my forces. Maybe by Day 70, I'll be strong enough to take him.

From Swolte's thread:

Omah is relatively isolated from all the action, and starts out quite weak. However this player is balanced on a knife's edge with an important factor being called the Vaugh Han. The Vaug Han is a hero unlike any other to start with. At a low level, but with tons of skills and enhancements, this hero will grow like crazy if taken good care of. With the right type of items, he can take on armies!
On the other hand, losing this hero will be an enormous blow... being largely dependent on one hero is tricky in the beginning!

Ready for this...

I have a hero, his name is Vaugh Han. I am growing him as fast I can, but am not getting good kit or abilities so far. That is beyond my control.

There is a 2nd hero of very high level two turns away from me. I chose not to go attack him due to his crossed swords diplomacy stance. His name is The Vaugh Han.

Makes it a little confusing for a mere Goblin Wizardess. And all Orcs look the same anyway.
Fake Vaugh Hans that you have to beat to prove that you are the only one? Maybe they have items that you have to collect?

To be fair, my Wizard had to beat a twin on Day 1 or 2 as well. But that was an easy battle compared to the double Vaugh Han... I'd rather not roll the dice unless I know the outcome in advance.

Emperor Kim Jong Purius of the Archons, Day 11

Young people must reject the fear of technology and conservatism and launch a powerful movement for scientific invention and a mass movement for technical innovation by strengthening creative cooperation among scientists, technicians, producers and three-revolution team members.

A strong physique is the source of youthful spirit and vitality and guarantees creative labour and a heroic struggle. Our young people must be not only sound ideologically and spiritually but also physically healthy, harmonious and strong. Sporting activities should be encouraged and popularized among young men and women so as to make them fully ready for work and national defence.

Stefanus, day 11

Lady Godiva of the dark elves believes that her threats have some meaning to me, when the threat of the emperor is a thousand times greater. A magic item. Pfft. I've left the countryside littered with useless trinkets.
The emperor, shrewdly, does not come north to try and lure us to fight against each other. Hopefully the dark elf will see his army through her mirrors and understand what the real threat is.

The countryside is still teaming with bandits and wild beasts, impeding my armies but providing some training at least. I pass yet another day faraway from my beloved, will this war ever end?

What should be a less eventful turn took ages due to all the minibattles with the neutrals, compounding with the short periods I have the laptop available, sorry folks
Drow Day 8

Are our armies still so small? Is our income still in the red? I thought I remembered making progress in this game but here it is at day 8 and I'm still just pitifully limping along, permanently on the verge of economic collapse. This will either be a very long game or perhaps for me a very short game...
