seems kind of pointless for a anti drm game seller to have there own DRM that is required...
Gog probably don't care about that, this looks like a developer's decision.

If GOG wants to sell more games they'll have to get used to it.

Do y'know why DRM is even thing? Due Software-Pirates who illegaly downloaded them. A lot of Anti-DRM People want to deny that, but if people would've properly payed/bought Videogames back then, when they play them, then probably there wouldn't be an DRM to begin with.

Also GoG only works due the succesfullness of "DRM" like Steam - because CDPR can be the Rebels and People want to support the Rebels. However the thing is, even on GoG are black sheeps who - even thought they support gog also betray them by share the Downloads Online. It's actually pretty easy to give other peoples your Games, on Disc-Days back than you atleast had to make a copy of your Disk - later on to find an proper crack for it, nowdays you simply have to upload your download. In case of most SP Games, i would argue for Developer it still worths it - because the supportive community is still way more than the black sheeps. However a Game like Absolver? This is way much to hyped for that, and it would be quite unfair for them - if some fag thinks its the best to upload his Copy of the Game so everyone could play the Game for free - while the developers deliever new content and such for the Game.

So TL:DR
In a Game like Absolver - for Online - there is an DRM pretty okay. You still have DRM Free for the Offline/Singleplayer-Part ... so yeah...

LightningYu already explained the situation.

i'm fine as long the single player mode is offline and drm-free.

The only way to deliver drm free multiplayer experience is through lan, powered by third party softwares like hamachi and the likes.
Developers ditched the lan idea a long time ago, so it's common to have a lack of it on newer games.

I can understand that some of you don't like the idea of a drm experience multiplayer wise, but if not for galaxy, gog would have many more games stripped of their MP mode (or not getting x games at all), something that happened many times already.

I'm honestly fine as things are now, we get more drm free games (single player wise) on GOG and we can experience MP on this platform aswell.

WTF?
There´s DRM in this game and GOG - the DRM-free plattform which claims that GOG and DRM aren´t never ever going together - hasnt even mentioned that ANYWHERE?
So i think thats it.... returning to Steam doesnt seem so bad - those guys are at least not lying to me about DRM :)

Sooo, any point for GOG to exist then? If GOG players is a priori arrrrrrre pirates.
This game has permanent connection required ????

I hope this is a joke because gog is a platform without drm.

Then someone can confirm if the game has a mandatory internet connection ??

It does not require a permanent internet connection. The game starts in offline mode if you're offline. You can play the game just fine without a connection (without the multiplayer part for obvious reasons)

Although I'm currently feeling like feeding a troll, what part of the game has DRM? I guess you mean the Galaxy Client with DRM? I just started the game without any Galaxy service running and the multiplayer part was working just fine.

I really can't see any DRM in this game.

I most warn you though: I beat the first boss, and it seems that in order to rematch him again, you needd to reach lv 2 in the trials mode, which is PVP/online ONLY. I don't like this at all. It seems also that some gear is unlocked through levelling up in PVP mode.

I hoped there wasn't any content locked under online, but if there is no other way to rematch bosses, that's a deal breaker for me.

Yeah i played around 6 hours of the game and i reached the "this is all you can do offline" point. Was very disappointed that the rest of the game was wondering around repeated areas ganking other players or being ganked or the 1v1 pvp match making... Honestly bored me. You need to do allot of that before you can progress to the higher level enemy boss (repeat fights) and unlock all the rest of the gear.

I really dont think this game was worth the 30 dollar price tag at all. 15 dollars would have been more decent considering the content that was offered.

Completely agree. The main campaign was trash considering how short it was, but I'm damn pissed off about all the content locked behind an unnustified online barrier, I wish I could refound the game.

Thankfully I bought the game when GOG was giving furi for free with its purchase, so it's like I kinda paid half the price for each game; still I didn't want to give my money to these devs after things turned out.
same issue here, I think its a GOG thing, found someone on a steam forum say it happened with their GOG too....

if I cant play online tomorrow im going for a refund.
