I just finished the game, and while GOG has a freaking bug that made me to waste time each time I launched it, my main complaint is the keyboard & mouse control for this game.
In the medium or far future, I’ll try the game again (I liked the story), but this time with an Xbox controller, yet I wish to write down my main complaints while they are still fresh on my mind.
First, I played in row Innocence and Requiem, both with keyboard & mouse. With the former, I'm OK. With the latest, the control was expanded, the radial wheel is still there, but with the new additions I have the following issues:
- While fighting, sometimes I waste resources when my objective was just changed of kind of munition.
- While fighting, sometimes I e select the wrong weapon.
- While fighting, sometimes Amicia completes an attack, when my objective was not that (due it was still with the wrong ammunition). And sometimes, interrupts loading the fling or the crossbow.
So, in short, in battle I got many game overs because in the end I was unable to do what I wanted with the current control. And sure, written them down show the error: I must entirely stop using the crossbow or the sling if I want to use the wheel. I suspect this problem is not present with a controller.
