Hi guys, I am wondering if I should buy a new beginning, as it is on sale now. I know that there is a certain chance that it will not work on my computer due to bugs. But besides that: I read that some people found it funny, some not at all. I, for example, like Whispered World a lot, and for me Sadwicks self-pitynedd was just hilarious. So is the humor in ANB similar?

Thanks!
I'd heartily recommend it - it's beautiful, engaging and has a pretty solid story to boot. With that said, it's not a "funny" game - it actually deals with a rather serious subject matter. On top op that, I feel obliged to mention that the English voice-acting is decent at best (you can tell the actors didn't know the context of their lines more often than not).

... By the way, I really, REALLY want a sequel.
The game plays smoothly and you probably should be able to run it on any PC (cant speak about the Mac here) that is not due for a museum. There is, however, an issue with the game become un-Save-able from about the mid-game on.. While apparently you can still finish the game through the "Continue Game" function, it is an issue to keep in mind while considering purchase.
thanks guys,

I bought it now and it seems to work. I already played ~30min and I'm already captured by the story! BTW, I am a natural scientist myself so I can relate to the story very much :)
