how well does this control with the mouse and keyboard? ive seen this compared to house of dead ninjas, and i dont remember if it REQUIRED a gamepad, or was just utterly unplayable without one, i only remember i uninstalled it about 60 seconds after starting it, and i dont want to wind up with another game similarly impossible to control...

thanks!

Hope you don't mind a staff reply :D

I played this game quite comfortably with a KB+M combo. Walking is controlled using your standard WASD keys and you aim with the mouse. I have played Super House of Dead Ninjas myself and this game (99 Levels) controls nothing like that game where I was constantly thinking "Man, I seriously need a game pad!".

I hope that helps :D.

it does indeed. aiming with the mouse is what i really wanted to hear... after a valley without wind 2 decided to ditch mouse aiming, i began to despair that games like this were going to go all gamepad all the time...

For what it's worth, I personally found that the KB&M is far more intuitive than using my Xbox 360 gamepad.
The keys are fine. The only issue I have is I fine the actual platforming mechanics a little loose, but that's not a control issue.

Personally I like arcade sticks for platformers. But if it's run and gun I need my mouse :(
