You are put in the position of a main battle tank platoon commander in charge of four U.S. M1 Abrams tanks in a fictional campaign of battles against the Soviet Army in Central Europe. You can give orders to friendly units via a tactical map of the battle area as well as taking control of a single tank - assuming the role of either the tank commander, driver or gunner. Between the battles, surviving crew members increase in military rank and skill giving you an incentive to keep his team alive.Its 9 years older brother, M1 Tank Platoon II is similar in its core and gives you command of a platoon of four M1A2 Abrams tanks and their crew. You make all the important decisions; including firing your tank's vast arsenal of weapons and using the state-of-the-art thermal view to seek out and destroy enemy forces. You can switch between fully-functioning internal cockpits or observe the conflict at first hand with the external 3-D view.
