So far so good

I had played Zork: Grand Inquisitor when I was young, discovering this game that I had never played, "Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands" it is really enjoyable to unfold. I thought I was almost done with the game but then opened up new areas to deepen the gameplay and oldschool experience feeling that is truly what I recommend to anyone that is a fan of Point and Click games, you can't find this kind of game now a day, at least, not that immersive and with such a dark and mysterious vibe like Zork games. Trust me, you will like Zork :)!

superb game, full of rich atmosphere

One of my most favourite games of all time... great atmosphere, and the music is done by the same guy who did the music for fallouts 1 & 2!

A Great Game!

I played Zork Nemesis when it came out in 1996 and loved it. 15 years later it still keeps my attention. The puzzles aren't overly difficult and story line can be a little out there but the adventure is truly the best part. I highly recommend to all!

Great Puzzle Game

I loved playing this game for its puzzles. The story was a definite bonus though and I doubt that the game would have been fun with out it. The story more or less comes as a reward for figuring out the puzzles. Solve a puzzle get a cut scene; It was great.

My Favourite Zork Game

I do wonder if this game should have been a Zork title or simply released as it's own stand-alone creation. It lacks the quirky humour of its predecessors, but at the same time what light relief it does have is made all the more rewarding for the dark and mysterious atmosphere. As an adventure game however it is simply must be played; the game has stunning (for the time) visuals with a level of artistic direction that and a quality of story-telling that still outclasses many modern titles. The dark mystery is enhanced by equally haunting music, high quality sound design and some great live action performances. The puzzles are often fiendishly difficult, relying on clues in the many books and alchemical diagrams around the game, and for which a quality notebook is an absolute must (and part of the experience). Although some can be frustratingly arbitrary in true adventure game tradition, it is hard to stay mad at them in such a well crafted environment. I was a little disappointed that the soundtrack isn't part of the free bonus content though, as I would pay just to get my hands on high quality copies of the music!
