Good Adrenaline Rush
Fun shooter games where you mow down hordes of zombies while moving around to avoid getting crowded or cornered. The game is short (finished it in one evening) and at normal difficulty, it is just challenging enough to keep you on edge without being punishing. There is also an easy and hard difficulty. The graphics feel like they've aged not quite as gracefully as some other older games, but they are not an eyesore. Sometimes, you get semi-stuck on terrain which can be mildly annoying. It feels like they could have smoothed out that part of the game. Different kinds of zombie appear as the game progress and while they aren't mind blowing, they are different enough to keep the game entertaining. It does feel like some zombies have the unfair ability to block your shot with their own (I think) and have homing, but that will just force you to get a tad more creative with your movement tactics. The game also allows you to upgrade between 4 stats (hp, strength to determine how much ammunition you can carry, speed which affects how fast you move around and accuracy which impacts the overall damage you do) between levels as well as purchase various weapons and upgrade them. The different weapons are different enough to be interesting, though they don't influence your tactics that much (beyond the fact that more expensive weapons tend to do more damage and be more effective than cheaper weapons and you'll mostly want to use cheaper weapons in easier circumstances to save ammo on the more expensive weapons). There is also a final boss who is a total damage sponge, but not that challenging beyond that and made somewhat easier by the fact that AI pathfinding is not great in this game. Overall, a fun short game to relax that doesn't take a lot of time or cognitive investment.
