Great game! Amazing graphics, audio and gameplay. Don't believe some negative reviews, try it yourself and you will see. If you already liked this genre in the days of Nintentedo 64, I can guarantee that this game will make you smile with joy.
Extremely fun, collect-a-thon game made in a similar style to the N64 titles. It's incredibly charming and drips with tons of personality. Fantastic soundtrack. Smooth gameplay. Satisfying jumping. Creative bosses. However, it is rough in certain areas. Some of the collectables are unfairly hidden, and some of the mini games are frustrating (they can require a lot of patience to get through because of wonky controls). In general, the transformations, while creative, are under-utilized.
Despite these problems, I still had lots of fun playing it and exploring the giant levels. The final world, Galleon Glaxy, is especially amazing with the fewest problems and the most original setting. This is an easy recommendation.
This is Banjo-Kazooie in 2017. Same charm, same humor, same music. Absolute nostalgia fest for anyone who has played the Rare Platformers on the N64. I couldn't give this 5 Stars since players new to these games may not enjoy them as much as I would. And in addition to that like in the title I feel like that game is a bit .. short compared to lets say Banjo-Tooie and too easy. I really hope the Sequel (yes its probably coming since the game has frequent jokes and references about it) will feel like Banjo-Tooie more than Banjo-Kazooie. In conclusion its worth a buy for most cases. 4-4.5 Stars. Recommended !
game is worse than dk64 ever was. it will stop being fun very fast and have you doing annoying mini game bs to collect pagies mainly consisting of jumping through hoops against a clock. there's no bosses instead you have to do a crappy quiz's to advance to next area so remember every single thing you did in the game including how long you've been playing to pass...
there is no warp system meaning you have to drag yourself through the entire hub back tracking back to each level over and over again...
it's just not a fun platformer to play a terrible terrible reboot to the genre. it's has none of the magic banjo and tooie has.
If you like platformer in general, then you'll like this game. Simple, funny and beautiful. I think the extreme negative reviews aren't fair at all. Ignore JonTron and all the other "problems" and enjoy Yooka Laylee. :)
