excellent and overlooked game
when Yesterday came out in 2012 it seemed to pass by without much notice but it deserved SO much better. this is easily one of the tightest Pendulo Studios games and much more polished than The Next Big Thing (which is also very good in its own right). in tone you might compare it to Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, but it's got a style all its own the story, the visuals and the characters in Yesterday are very memorable and there are many, many moments that become hard to forget (try to avoid spoilers for maximum effect and DO NOT read about the sequel Yesterday Origins before you play this game!). the puzzles are on the easy side but all are logical and realistic. it's a huge step up from some of the Runaway games in that regard. plus there is no pixel hunting like in early Pendulo games because of the helpful hotspot highlighter Yesterday is admittedly short (I beat it in maybe 5 or 6 hours) but the ride is exciting to the end, like a good graphic novel. if you're looking for a very grim thriller adventure with some black humor and a story packed with twists, I highly recommend Yesterday
