Yes, Your Grace

Gameplay systems are very slight. I had no problem buying every upgrade and saving nearly every villager by investing in people's happiness, the economy, and working with lords who gave me supplies. Story is not terrible but dragged on me by the end. The king is a total pushover who can't control his own family at all, which is strange for an absolute monarch who is facing a total war. It seems like he's a henpecked 1990's sitcom husband, not a king. Got tired of playing as him by the end. Buy it on a steep sale and that only if you love visual novel games.

Firstly I do think it is a little short for the cost. The story is not bad, and I don't mind that it is a little dark. Though it is clear early on that your decison do not affect the big arc of the story much, which is also OK since there is mostly a good story that is being told. The characters are well made and develop well, but again you don't have a real ability to affect them. Your small decisiosn do have an effect on if you succeed or fail, and provide some limited strategic value. All of this would be fine if you actually had enough information to make some of the small decisions, but they are really mostly just random choices. There is a lot of promise here, and I wanted to like it, but I think it just needs a bit more complexity and reasoning behind most of the choices you make

So, this game is closer to a virtual novel than a manager. Very early in game you get stuck with no choice of action making the game very linear and that is really a turn off... Needs more places to go, things to do, resources to manage and althoug the story does have some quality, but again, it doesn't give you much choice.

I was surprised to see bad reviews of this game. It seems that people expect something, but they don't get what they expected. And it doesn't give you the reason to hate the game itself. This game has beautiful pixel art and one of the most dramatic and realistic medieval story you can imagine. I can't think of any other game that wakes so many emotions at the end. Without any spoilers I recommend this game for playing without any doubts! But don't expect anything in advance. Just immerse yourself in history and try to associate yourself with the king. You will not be disappointed.

The game has a good pace, the story as many has describe it is a bit grim, but still a decent one. What makes me kind of hate it are the inconsistencies, like for instance, I earn from taxes 10 coins and 9 bushels of food, now to sustain an army of 160 I need to spend 5 bushels...all good, but then comes a peasent that says his father is ill and need 10 bushels of food, like HOW does a sick old man consumes more than a whole army of 160 men? So of course I need to turn down all the queries from the peasents...and that is another thing that makes me mad, why does the kind interview with peasent with demands as "I need to builkd a taver, give me 20 gold" like...why? And why so much. So yeah I could rant on and on on those inconsistencies but why bother...they do spoiled the game for me tho
