Description

In this kingdom management RPG, petitioners will arrive in the throne room each turn to ask for your advice and assistance. Decide whether to help them with their problems, or to conserve resources for more important matters. Remember: supplies are limited, and not everyone has the kingdom’s best interests at heart...

  • Listen to petitioners each turn and decide who needs your support.
  • Aid your family with their personal problems and decide upon their fate.
  • Hire Generals, Witches and Hunters to aid your efforts.
  • Prepare for battle and make alliances by satisfying the whims of lords and kings.
  • Follow the stories of the quirky and determined characters that visit your halls.

Yes, Your Grace tells a tale of Davern, a medieval kingdom ruled by King Eryk. The game is set in a fictional world where monsters and arcane practices inspired by Slavic folklore are the order of the day. Villagers will ask for your help with various problems, from monsters attacking the village to a lack of places to relax and enjoy themselves. Some will bring humour to your throne room and some will present you with difficult choices. Your family is important too, and throughout your time as King, you will have to support them in their struggles.

You will face lords with a variety of personalities; you will need their support in order to win an upcoming battle, but some may ask you to perform dirty deeds to cement the alliance. One thing is clear: It won’t be easy to keep everyone happy...

Visual Novel?

So I got this game thinking it would be like Sim Kingdom, but it's more like an interactive visual novel. There's only about 5 places in the castle you can go, the rest of the time, u have to send your people out into the world to do things, like investigate places or solve problems. You also have gold and food resources you have to manage. If they fall below 0, you'll lose the game. I'm pretty sure u can also lose the game at other points as well (fights) but most of the game is managing resources and dealing with problems (the peoples and your own) The main story is rather lackluster. It's not bad, but I can hardly call it good. It is also a little morbid. There's about 50 turns of gameplay not including the 2 battles. The game crashed on me 2x where i had to end task it, and my adviser, due to my choices, died. Yet later on, he miraculously chimed in some text. It would be hard for me to recommend this game over some visual novels I've played. It's not a bad game, but a visual novel will look better and not have cumbersome waiting to walk mechanics. I will probably beat it 1x more to try some other choices and then never touch it again. I paid less money for "Amnesia Memory" which took much longer to beat, and looks and feels more polished. TL;DR If you like visual novels, this game might be a good fit for you. If you want to manage a kingdom, it's not. I do think the price is a bit high for what you get ATM, and there's very little replay value.

Very disapointing and a true let down.

The game was a great idea and if the developers delivered on what they promised then this game could of been great. 1) Game is over priced. Two slow runs of the game only took me 12 hours max and I had to force myself to do the second play through just to confirm my next point. This game is worth $8 at best and small team indie developers milking people is a be disgusting. Some indie games are worth the $18 I paid for this game because they provide massive hours of game play and not a half baked game. Example would be Stardew Valley ,Rimworld & FTL. 2) This game claims to offer choices and these choices will change the game. The developers on forums used this to justify their high price because replay ability. This is just a garbage lie there are very few true choices & the game forces you into some very big plot directions with no choice whatsoever. The second half do the game seems devoid of plot and most days you do nothing. The developers should be shamed by this game and spend the next six months adding content and produce a true game with choices. hopefully you did not buy already and waste your money.

Cute art, Bleak Story

The game wants you to make tough choices, prioritize, but you never seem to have enough to do anything except one or two things. I was constantly asking loans to the ingame bankers, the only way I managed to reach the end, each week sent half of my petitioners away, because I had nothing to give them. You can use an agent that will solve tasks, but I was stuck the entire time with only one of each. Your advisor tells you he will “put out the word you’re hiring” if you need more, but I didn’t find any specific way to do so. Maybe I was missing a huge “hire” button somewhere, or I was just playing the game poorly, but if that explains gameplay, the plot is another matter entirely, and the plot in this case is very, very important, for this is a heavily story-driven game. Light Spoilers: I reached an ending that I’m sure can be considered positive (characters survived, villain defeated), yet I felt a profound sense of defeat once done, like I got there by sheer luck/accident rather me playing the game well. I’ve found the story morbid and unpleasant. Tone is all over the place. The look of the game, from the gorgeous pixel art, to the lovely cartoon-like artworks of the characters, makes you think you’ll live through an overall light-hearted tale, but the story alternates poorly between attempts at comedy and rather bleak twists. I’m not asking for everything to be sugar and cotton candy, but in a game where the marketing made a big deal about the fact that you can pet all the animals you encounter, I’d rather not see said animals grizzly murdered and skinned alive at every other turn. The heart-breaking fate of one specific character was made all the more irritating by the fact I seemingly couldn’t do anything to change it. In a game all about choices, the ones that really matter to the plot are out of your reach. Things could go differently on another playthrough, but I don’t have an especially strong desire to find out

Looks a lot more promising than it is

At first I thought "wow, the graphics make me feel like I'm playing with the royal family from Battle Chess! This is hilarious!" and picked this up. Then *everyone* started complaining and crying about things that if I complained to my boss, let alone my mayor or even prime minister, I would get laughed at while getting thrown out, with all the ridicule and shame that comes with. If this was about a young baron who inherited his father's lands and has to get to grips with the local issues I'd be fine with it but as a king, you really shouldn't be forced to deal with peasants who can't find their sons or your own daughters who smear feces on each others' pillows. So I ducked out before I wasted any more time on fixing King Pushover's dumb life.

Bleak, boring and random

Hello, It breaks my heart to report this isn't a good game. It really tried hard. But here are some criticisms... Spoiler ahead - Interesting characters...bad story. The game starts out with your kingdom in a bad way and makes a bunch of dumb decisions. Why do you not have any resources? What happened? How does this other dude have a huge army and you have like 22 guys? - Bleak as hell. I didn't play games to have my daughter get killed by virua- Joffrey. Or do have a cat get skinned. Screw that. The tone is way off compared to the advertising. Life is hard enough. -. Finally, there is little grasp as to the consequences of my decisions. What am I building to? What are some benchmark numbers? You are sort blindly choosing priorities hoping it pays off. No real strategic satisfaction. - Did I mention you are forced to sell your 13 year old daughter and they skin her cat? That's fun. Love that guys! At least the music was good. Save you money. Pet a real cat. Play better games.
