Xenonauts

Ubuntu Mate 18.04 - This game runs excellently on all of my systems with UB 18.04 on them. I own this game on Steam, Humble Bundle and now GOG. If you're a fan of X-COM or turn based strategy games as a whole, this game is a must play. If I could stop losing my teams to splash damage, I would have a decent shot of ending it....

I was excited to try Xenonauts as I'm a huge fan of XCOM. I wasn't able to get past the start-screen however, as the available resolutions made the `start game` menu item fall off the bottom of my screen. The only possible solution was to choose a terrible low resolution but then it's in window mode with only half of my screen filled + the fonts are unreadable. As I found no clue on the GOG page, I went over to the official website of Xenonauts and there I found this... "Linux and Mac versions of the game are available on both platforms but are not officially supported; they were created for legacy customers and no technical support will be provided for those platforms!' This said, It's an absolute disgrace that GOG marks this game as a Mac game. 0/10

Xenonauts is the kind of game that kidnaps your free time and refuses to give it back—and you’ll thank it for the privilege. It’s like classic XCOM got a PhD in fun and then invited you to save the world for hundreds of glorious hours.
