The economy of X³: Reunion is more complex than anything seen in the X-universe before. Factories are being built by NPCs, wars can affect the global economy, NPCs can trade freely and pirates behave far more realistically.

Extensive development has gone into the X³ engine, making full use of DirectX 9 technology, to create dramatic visual effects and stunningly realistic starships. Coupled with the massively enhanced A.L. (Artificial Life) system, X³: REUNION presents players with an ever changing, evolving universe; where a player's actions really can shape the future of the universe.

The new X³ 2.0: Bala Gi Research Missions: The X³ 2.0: Bala Gi Research Missions offers a host of new features and missions, allowing the player to delve deeper than ever before into the X universe.

Just a space shooter?

Well, i bought this game a few days ago, did one or two of the first missions and then decided to try the sandbox part of the game. I wanted to raise some money, get some new equipment, maybe change ship... so i started looking for oportunities in trading and side missions. Well, i've read some of the other reviews praising this game, but to me the economy seems completey broken. Products are sold at a higher price than they are bought. The only thing i was able to trade was energy cells. The side missions are rare and many times are locked to a specific type of ship, wich you dont have when you start, so the ones you can actually accept and complete are rarer still. My ship was damaged on a collision on one of the first story missions, but to repair it, i must spend enough money to buy a new one. Idk.. am i doing something wrong? Cos other people around here seem to be enjoying the game. To me, without the economy this game is just a space shooter.

Crash and burn

Play for a bit [CRASH] start getting the hang of the controls [CRASH] embark upon a storyline mission [CRASH] begin to get frustrated restarting the game repeatedly [CRASH] give it up as a lost cause [CRASH] uninstall from system because it's hard to play with a [CRASH] every ten of fifteen minutes playing this [CRASH] happy mess of a game.

The Solution

I stuggled with this quite a lot. Alt zooms-in, for instance (no idea what zooms out, if anything), but eventually I found Alt-F4 still works. Before that someone whispered (voice 80%) that I had an incoming message and a tiny, tiny window (4k) popped-up with something that looked almost like writing, but smaller. It didn't help. Before that someone and someone else whispered a cut-scene conversation to each other. The game clearly didn't want me to overhear it and I'm too polite to eavesdrop. Whether any of this means anything or helps in any way, I've no idea, because if someone whispered it, I couldn't hear and if they wrote it, it was too tiny to read (eye-test 3 weeks ago, 20/20 vision). Same with any control details. Alt-F4 is your friend.
