Description

You are Outlander. Once adrift upon the Ageless Sea, you now find yourself on the shores of a dying world. From the consuming darkness emerges a figure cloaked in white: the Shepherd of Wayward Souls, who burdens you with the task of hunting down the remaining Guardians of the Old World. You must journey into the vast gloom to explore ancient ruins, discover forgotten secrets and battle the horrors that lurk within.

Equipped with weapons of exceptional might and an inventory of powerful artifacts, you must traverse ancient crypts, sunken ruins, corrupted temples and howling forests to bring death to your enemies. But do not underestimate your adversaries, for they are great in power and number. Your mind must be as sharp as your blade if you hope to survive the dangers ahead.

Fueled by legendary Quake 1 technology, the veins of WRATH pump with the DNA of revered '90s shooters. The world of WRATH is rich with engaging combat, diverse environments and captivating lore. Every element is deftly intertwined to create an authentic and enchanting experience as timeless as the games that inspired it.

Boomer Shooter for the WIN!!!

After playing the early access and now starting the complete game I can say that the single player campaign Is kicking In, Is what I expected It to be. Let's part like It's 1996. They promised MP, at least, for now, there's no MP, so this Is the reason for a 4 star rating. I'm playing on Debian Linux, so yep, I got the full game installer for Linux! :D

Definitely worth a look for Quake fans.

If you are a gamer who looks for modern graphics, a open world and modern life commodities, this game is probably not for you. But if you are interested in quake or even in quake mapping (leveldesign), look no further, this is a must have for you! This game really shows off what a modestly modernized Quake engine can pull off and features skillfull crafted, moody maps.

Its okay but nothing special

After figuring out the strange level design it makes some fun but if you once played threw you dont have to touch this game once again. Dread Templar or Prodous is way better in my opinion. Even the mor modern Phantom Fury makes still more fun anyway. And jes the save system is awful. The original Quake save system is old but better than anything else since today.

Fun boomer shooter with weak late game

The game is solid fun for most of the run. There is a decent variety of weapons, the claw offers a nice movement mechanic, and the relics add variety. The save system is a little silly in my opinion, requiring soul tethers to save except for shrines and level starts. They give you so many, however, that it really isn't an issue. It did end weak, slightly out staying its welcome and having a poor final boss. By the time I was most of the way through the third and final hub, it had stopped showing me anything new. I had a serious case of can I just be done yet. The final boss was disappointing and seemed ill-thought out. If you have a decent stash of relics you won't have any trouble with it. No replayability unless you want to just do the same thing over again. Still, worth a play and it runs great even on an old Linux laptop like mine.

Looks very promising...

... but it lacks the quality of technical implementation.g Yes, it's modified Quake engine which supposed to be over-polished after 20+ years but... None the less there's constant fps drops (from 160 to 110, not so much, but) which leads to accidental 720 degree rotation. I realy don't get how it's possible in 2019. None of Quake ports has such lacks, nor even Quake original DOS version under Win7/8/10. Also, maybe because of that glitch, maybe regardless of it, but Executioner hits you no matter what, and it feels like before even reaching you. And if such mechanics are introduced into the game intentionally, then I begin to doubt the quality of the final result. I hope game would be polished of such lacks after all. Such problems spoil the impression very much, because everything else - maps, monsters, weapons, sound, atmosphere, etc. - beyond praise. Very frustrating to see such gorgeous work of desingers alongside with poor technical implementation. PS: mouse acceleration off, vertical sync off, double checked, windows, game, drivers, etc. Couldn't find what cause the problem, couldn't fix it.
