Don't own this on GOG yet, but I remember all this well from 1993. Sure, it's aged - ain't we all since then? But I had to a 4-star review specifically to goad the moron that wrote a truly rabid bit of fanboi review garbage a few weeks back, "briandoodo" I think. Doodo is right. The kind of reviewer that infests GOG reviews like plague fleas. I just have to hit back!

Wolfenstein is a great game, SOD is as well. However I would never call anything, including a rock, overpriced if it is less than 10.00. In this case they have it marked down for 2.99 so I am curious why race to the bottom when that could just raise all prices by 20.00 and still get plenty of checkouts? Then 'overpriced' will change to 22.00.

Yes, I KNOW it's an old game, but some old games age well. This one didn't. No height variation, no automap, little as far as stage variation. Yes, you shoot Nazis, which is an objective moral good, but there are much better games you can do that in.

Unfortunately not that great anymore. When I was a child this was a very exciting and thrilling experience because gaming was a lot simplier then. Nowadays its pretty hard to come back to it. The price is a bit steep even on sale. Recommended only for those who are feeling nostalgic and have money to waste. Pros: - A trip down the memory lane. - You get to witness a part of the gaming history. Cons: - Levels are boring and unmemorable and it makes them hard to navigate. - Gunplay is very basic and doesn't require much skill. - Very simple graphics. - Almost no plot/story and its not very good.
