Falling Down Ladders by D.W. Bradley

They didn't figure out how to program ladders. LADDERS. You can rocket up the damn things just fine, but climbing down is a gamble. Sometimes you lose one party member, sometimes you lose half of them to fall damage. And temple healing is expensive. Let's get this straight, they created a massive, sprawling crpg world with weird words and a crazy plot, and then forgot to see if the ladders worked? WOW!

Unplayable garbage

The mouse doesn't work. it is impossible to continue from the main screen. At this point I don't want to spend hours looking up fixes like I have to do with half the games on this site and i'm tired of paying for broken garbage as a "product". Why is so hard for a company who sells products to ensure they are in a working state? It should not be legal to have such negligent business practices.

not fully fixed, if at all.

so i was mildly hopefull since i hoped this game would come here for years. but it seems it lacks many essential unoffical fixes still. same problems are here what my original cd version has. so not very playable et the moment. gate on the right side of town still cannot be highlighted, i remember it had something to do with some town files in game directory, not sure if it was town avi files or some other town files which had to be replaced with edited ones, managed to find fix only once. so not a good job with this one, try to find and add rest of the fixes to this, then its good. Using windows10 64bit. this problem was there from windows xp times. this game only worked as intended in windows 98. now its impossible for me to get a pc so retro.

One of the best RPGs of all time

Finally it has arrived. Today's a glorious day indeed. It's another RPG masterpiece from D.W. Bradley. I have so many fond memories related to this game. Wish they would have continued with it's sequel(s).

It just won't run.

I was able to play this game when it originally came out on an older build. When I saw it come to GoG I was excited to play it again and make more progress. I've tried every fix imaginable to get this game to run on Win 7 including all of the recommended fixes on the dev's page but this game will just not load.
