Broken
I loved this game when it came out, still have the original on CD-Rom, but it does not like modern PCs at all. I was super happy to see it released on GOG, because it punched me right in the nostalgia. However, I can't even get it to start on my desktop. On startup, it throws an "model models/efx/burncoll.mdl has invalid id tag" error, which is followed shortly by a divide by zero error.

Great game if it works
Sadly this game is one of the worst releases on GoG. This game has a lot of bugs and technical issues. I can´t save the change of my choosen resolution. When I try to end the game the screen freezes and I have to restart my computer. About the game Wizards&Warriors is like Wizardry 8. The atmosphere was nice and I loved the combat. It is one of these games where it is really entertaining to explore the world. So if you loved Wizardy 8 you can buy the game. If this game would run on my PC I would give 4/5 stars. I will keep this game and hope that there will be some fixes in the future so I can play the game and change my rating.

Oldschool Dungeoncrawl Goodness
(Beside the Town Movie bug, everything works flawless with the GoG version on my system. I own a physical copy so i know what a pain it is to get it to run on a modern machine. Thanks GoG for making it possible. The Town Movie files can be fixed easily, just take a look into the forum) Technical stuff aside, this is a great dungeon crawler in the style of Wizardry and Might&Magic. It has a great race/class variaty, a simple but effective skill system and turn-based combat (optionally real-time). The Dungeon design is also very atmospheric and well constructed. There are some nice puzzles too. The overworld is bit more boring but the exploration is still fun. The graphics are dated and the interface is clunky, but other than that its a great game for what it wants to be. If you like party based dungeon crawler in the style of Wizardry and Might&Magic you certainly will enjoy this one. A 5 star experience for me.
