This is by far the best part of everything Witcher 3 has to offer, topping the base game by 10 miles. Story, characters and quest design is just amazing.
Not much more can be said about the Witcher 3 that hasn't already been said, it's one of the best open world ARPGs of all time, and with a memorable story to boot! Blood and Wine introduces all the right new elements into the formula and extends your journey as the White Wolf. For the asking price it's easily a 20-30 hours experience, so the value proposition is already in line with that of the base game and Hearts of Stone. Overall this a fantastic closing peace on Geralts adventures.
I very rarely get games near release at full price but CDPR is an exception. Take my money and keep on making amazing games ^^
W2 is one of my favorite games of all time, W3 was staggering in scope and polish, and I feel like I robbed someone getting Hearts of Stone for only $10 which was probably the best DLC I ever played.
You guys rock!
Can't wait to dive into the latest expansion. Heart Of Stone took me about 25 hours to beat not 10.... And I'm guessing this will be closer to 30-50 for me so you guys are way too conservative with your estimates. ....But then again it took me 250+ hours to beat W3 once so maybe I'm just too thorough :P. Damnit I wish I had more time in my life... like a lot more.... so many games I want to replay but I can't even clear my backlog ugggh.
ps: please do another W3 dlc/expansion, I'll gladly buy that one too. Please consider it and bring back Iorveth!!!!! He is badly missed :( :D
This is the most substantial DLC release I think I've ever played. The Duchy of Toussaint is much larger than I expected, and much prettier. The story quest is a lot of fun, the characters are well written and it was pretty cool hearing all the South African accents (I'm South African). There are loads of points of interest around the map to attend to. Geralt's new armour, weapons, mutagen system and home are awesome. The new Gwent cards are a nice addition too. I've clocked nearly 200 hours playing The Witcher 3, its DLC and its mods. Never change CDPR, never change.
