Witchaven I & II Bundle

There's only 3 Build engine games worth playing: Blood, Witchaven I & Witchaven II! Finally all three of them are available on GOG, FINALLY! Witchaven I is my personal favorite game of all time. Thankfully this GOG release comes as the classic version AND the patched Enhanced version which features modern resolutions, modern controls (WASD + mouse look) and patches, this is the way to play it. Unfortunately the manuals and the Build Editor are NOT included.

The first Witchaven is worth playing, the second one is even more of a mess somehow. I appreciate they actually bundled this both games with an enhanced version, but still, this is only recommended if you're a fan of Kusoge, otherwise you're better off playing Hexen. PS: god dammit civvie

While Witchhaven commits the cardinal sin of being a Build Engine game not called Duke Nukem 3D, Blood or Shadow Warrior it is in fact the pinnacle of entertainment software.

I got this game back when it was released strictly for the cover art and of course that was a mistake because the game itself isn't all that great. I felt ripped off, kind of like those old Atari games with the great cover art but the game itself is awful. I'm not even sure I'm going to put this on my wish list, it was very clunky even back in those days. I knew it wasn't gonna be as good as Doom but I was hoping something like Heretic and it it wasn't even close to that unfortunately. if you love 90s eras shooters you can probably enjoy this somewhat but I can't recommend it I gave it two stars because they chose some great cover art.
