Whispers of a Machine

I finished it in about six hours. The game does a great job of making the solutions easy to figure out with a little bit of critical thinking. I only needed to look up to the solution to a problem one time, and I was 90% of the way there myself anyway. It was definitely worth the two dollars I paid for it.

Played through it in a single day.

very good point-and-click adventure game, which have beautiful handpainted 640x360 graphics, twisted and exciting story and investigation augmentations feature. Some augmentations changes according to the personality of Vera. Veras personality changes increases replay value of the game. Most of the puzzles can be solved without a guide but here are some puzzles, where i needed youtube help to solve. Investigating is enjoyable and fun. From time to time you will have to return to the same areas, especially if you forgot to explore all the tips or the game plot forces you to return to the area. Returning to the same areas multiple times can be frustrating.

The art style, story, voice acting and mechanics are all good. The tutorial was brief and effective. I really liked all of the locations and characters. The mystery had enough twists and turns to stay interesting. I really enjoyed the personality system and puzzles. This game learns from the past and has utilized the best mechanics of previous adventure games. The one complaint I would have is that I wish there was more puzzles because the game had a good foundation. To be fair though, there are 3 different paths to take with 3 times the puzzle solutions in total and the story is concise. You aren't left wandering lost. Thumbs up. Can't wait for a sequal.

The game is a really nice point-n-click game that is not to hard and not to easy. With good, actually really good voiceacting and interesting characters! The one downside is the lenght, it took me 7 hours to play it thru, there was more to this game, more to build on. I hope there will be a second game about Vera sometime in the future! But a game well worth the money!
