What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state.
As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive. Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day.
The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death.
Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us.
Created by Giant Sparrow, the team behind the first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan.

The stories are pretty shallow, there is only one or two that stand out and really draw you in. Most of them can be transcribed in 1 sentence...
The controls are below average.
It only takes 2-3h to finish it.
Not a lot of things to like in this game.
It was a very unique experience for me. I have never played a "walking simulator" before, didn't even know that such a genre exist.
The thing is, it's hardly a game - more of a FPP video that lets you to explore it in your own pace, but not giving you meaningful choices. There is a path that you must follow.
After you get to know the stories, they give you a lot of answers but also leave many questions.
I didn't like some of them (Walter), but most were engaging and surprising.
After finishing the game (and I think that it should not be longer than 2-3 hours it really is) I read quite a lot of threads on forums with many discussions and interpretations of the stories.
The game left me thinking about it long after I finished it and it's a feature that not many titles have to offer.
It is a short game, you can complete it in 2 hours, there is not an actual challenge or something like that, still this game is amazing, if you want to relax while you think about the meaning of the "death" this is your best choice.
