Waxworks

I like these old games and although the art work and graphics are very dynamic this game is not fun to play at all. No map system to tell you were you are going, nothing to tell you want anything does. Nothing feels intitive at all, you are just wandering around picking items up not knowing if you need them or not. Combat is horrible as well as you can't ever get a grip on how to actually hurt enemies, sometimes they go down with just a couple of hits and other times you miss over and over again only hitting ever once in a while. The music is not bad at first but their is very little varity and it gets old really fast. This game aged like Edward Furlong.

Great rat in a maze simulator. Loved the part where 2 zombies spawned right infront of me and right behind me and i got my jaw ripped iff.

Waxworks on the Amiga is the best version of this excellent adventure/puzzle/mystery game. PC version is not good.

I did play this game years ago and I really wanted to play it again: It has a spoiler. - Cemetery: Works fine. - Jack the Ripper - Whitechappel: Here is working fine till you go to the door with the barrel and there is a dog inside the courtyard. Once you solve this puzzle, no matter why, you are always caught by two policemen. I did click the 4 digit pass suggested in the users manual but does not work fine. No idea if other users has this bug, and this is the reason why it has 1 star. - Did not play Egypt and the mine.

I just wanted to notify potential buyers that it's not working on Linux under Wine as I hoped. It's not declared to work there, hence the five stars. I just wanted to warn the optimists as I was.
