A good horror game

If you enjoyed Elvira and Elvira 2 I'm sure you will like this game, also from Accolade and Horror Soft. There are 4 worlds to complete and, guess what? Yes, there are mazes! Each world is a maze in which you can get lost easily. The worlds are independent, so you can't carry items from one to another. Once you complete the 4 worlds there's a 5th world in which you have to kill a witch.

A curiousity, but not much fun

I love horror games, and Waxwork really nails the "horror adventure" theme. However, this game will seem very unforgiving to most modern players. A lot of trial and error is needed, and navigating very samey-environments is the order of the day. If you are not the type that likes drawing maps on paper, you may want to skip this.

Frustrating and not fun

I like these old games and although the art work and graphics are very dynamic this game is not fun to play at all. No map system to tell you were you are going, nothing to tell you want anything does. Nothing feels intitive at all, you are just wandering around picking items up not knowing if you need them or not. Combat is horrible as well as you can't ever get a grip on how to actually hurt enemies, sometimes they go down with just a couple of hits and other times you miss over and over again only hitting ever once in a while. The music is not bad at first but their is very little varity and it gets old really fast. This game aged like Edward Furlong.

Awesome classic from the early 90's!

I love this game, found out way too late about it. It's a totally fun gory and dark horror classic, if you love dungeon crawlers with a eerie touch and spooky adventure elements, this is your game! I also look forward too the remake from Went2Play that is coming soon, but the original is the thing that was most present in my youth. Also loved the Elvira games from Horrorsoft.
