Description
The entire Wasteland 3 experience in one colossal collection. In addition to the award-winning tactical RPG Wasteland 3, the Colorado Collection includes both The Battle of Steeltown and Cult of the Holy Detonation expansions, as well as the Colorado Survival Gear bonus items.
The Colorado Collection includes:
Wasteland 3
The award-winning sequel in the Wasteland franchise brings the Desert Rangers to the frozen wastes of Colorado to deal with gangs, cults, and psychopathic clowns in an effort to bring stability to one more frontier of the wastes.
The Battle of Steeltown
The manufacturing complex of Steeltown has ground to a halt, stopping deliveries of machines and robots needed for Colorado’s war efforts. It’s up to the Rangers to get the gears turning again, by any means necessary.
Cult of the Holy Detonation
Venture into the Cheyenne Mountain complex to take possession of a power source that could make Colorado Springs into an electrified utopia, or a smoking crater. It’s up to the Rangers how they’ll handle this radioactive situation.
Colorado Survival Gear
Start your adventures with a snow-themed set of bonus gear that’ll make your arrival in Colorado a tad smoother.
M1 Pro/Max note: Apple users with new M1 Pro or M1 Max chips should note that there are known graphical issues when playing Wasteland 3. This appears to impact multiple titles built in Unity (the engine the game is based on), and is known by Unity and Apple to resolve at the engine and/or OS level. We do not have an ETA when this may be resolved. Until further notice we recommend against playing Wasteland 3 on the M1 Pro/Max chips. These issues do not appear to occur on the base M1 chips; however, your experience may vary.

I was very pleasantly surprised by Wasteland 3 seeing how I didn’t like the second. While not one of the best RPGs out there, it manages to be enjoyable and quite a solid RPG. It really manages to do everything pretty well while also not taking itself entirely seriously. All dialogues have voice lines, and the boss music is very catchy. Some quests are time sensitive, a feature implemented very well. And I enjoyed it’s many QoL features.
The biggest criticism that I have is that you are discouraged from using weapon and armor mods because you can’t take them off. And you often depend a lot on finding a high-level weapon through RNG; and then the character that has that weapon becomes by far the most valuable member of the group. At the very least, this was my experience on the highest difficulty level.

Wasteland 3 has faction based questlines which it fully leans into. Each faction you encounter even briefly all have unique characters, settings, and unique models/attacks. Deciding who to get along with and who to antagonize is a blast.
I held off on buying it for a long time because I figured it would have C-rpg combat. If you're in that boat as well. Good news. The game's combat is much much more akin to XCOM, with modifications to fit the genre. It's clean to use, functions extremely well with the level/perk system, and has great momentum to it. Fights start and end. They don't overstay their welcome.
Just a great game. Check it out pleeeaaase
Great game but why split version that way??
You've got Deluxe with soundtrack, art book and some other stuff but no DLC's and then you have Colorado Collection that has DLC's but no deluxe content despite being more expensive than deluxe.
Just wait for sell on all the separate content and buy it that way.
Like I said, great game but 1 star for pricing and content split bullshit.
Let's get the positive out of the way - the game technically seems OK, I haven't experienced bug or crashes - I chalk this up to Unity being stable. I gave up early on in the game so there may be issues but I wouldn't know.
I played Wasteland 2 DC - it's far from being any sort of a classic but it was entertaining, even with all its faults.
Beyond the one positive above, Wasteland 3 isn't good at all. Visually the game looks irritating: colors are way over-saturated, the camera has a very limited angle and the environments look cartoonish (even though they're supposed to look realistic.
The user interface is nothing short of atrocious - every single UI element flashes and animates all the time; it's impossible to move the mouse without triggering some cheap-looking animation and every screen involves an unskippable transition or two.
Controls are awful. Try scrolling the descriptions of skills - it's impossible because the content resets when the mouse moves. Rotating the camera around in one go is also impossible because the screen edge stops the mouse. The camera also resets during fights so it has to be realigned all the time.
The voice acting is so way-over-the-top that it makes the entire thing just comically bad, it's like watching a cheesy, badly made 70's cartoon.
The writing is mediocre at best but I stopped playing soon after the Sans Luxe quest so I have limited experience with the story. What I did see is just ridiculous and ham-fisted: hand-built cloning machines and solar panels, super-high-tech random gear, etc. in a post-apocalyptic world. The game clashes all over with its own story. Fallout had stuff like this but it was way better integrated with the story.
The inventory management is totally pointless and is hard to use since everything is just dumped into a single list and the loot is randomly generated with generic items like Level 1 Shotgun, Level 2 Shotgun, etc.
Not recommended.
That's how a proper RPG should look like. Great setting, smart battles (always an alternative way), lots of activities, no boring elements. Wasteland and Divinity Original Sin are my top games
