Better than Fallout

Having recently played or replayed Fallout 2, Fallout Las Vegas, Wasteland Remastered, and Wasteland 2 I can claim without any prejudice that Wasteland 2 is my favorite followed by Fallout 2 and Wasteland Remastered.

A Solid throw-back

This game is fun and has a lot going for it. There are absolutely some issues like a broken quest line, typos, some disappearing characters and environmental hiccups, but these things shouldn't deter you. The story is fun, the setting is great and the role-playing options abound. I just finished the game and after they patch it, I'm going to play it again and try all the different things I didn't try the first time through. If you liked tactic rpgs from the 90's, like Fallout, commandos, jagged edge, or the first Wasteland, you'll really like wasteland 2.

A great post nuke adventure

I absolutely loved this game. It's a brilliant adventure with engaging characters, creative settings, and a gripping story line that let's you have as much of a challenge as you want. Want to be constantly on the lookout for deadly enemies who could crush you after you make a few bad moves for most of the game? They got you set. Would you rather explore the wasteland, help oppressed residents of the wastes of Arizona in an effort to build a better future as a badass ranger who could lay their enemies into the dirt with some careful planning and enough ammo? That experience is also waiting for you. Create a squad of 4 rangers whose skills will help you reap the rewards of the desert and pick how crushing you want the game to be and go out and find the adventure that awaits. Go from a group of confused soldiers with vague directions to solve a murder to an experienced bunch diplomat warriors as you meet allies and enemies through various locals that hold clues to the ultimate evil looming over the region and contain intense adventures of their own. Earn better and better gear from a pretty sizeable variety of weapons and armor to compliment each characters skills to help you accomplish your goals along the way. One of my favorite games ever, I'm so glad I finally got around to it and if you haven't, I hope you will be as well!

Great game that needs polish

Loved this game. The voice acting is surprisingly good. Highly recommend this game for those who like games like Fallout 1 and 2. This game could definitely use some polishing to improve gaming experience. Characters you don't have in your active party don't level up with the rest of the squad, which is a huge disincentive to swap your party members to experiment around. Also, would be nice to be able to respec your characters in case you made bad decisions about how to level them up.
