I was searching for a game presenting many tactical fights, instead of beeing story driven game like Baldurs Gate or Divine Divinity. I think we have a game that for some can be called "best on the market". I will sum up it to pros and cons. I think it will be better than writing more stories: Pros: - Good graphics, showing both beauty and ugliness. - Interesting exploration, enchanced with ropes, locked doors etc. - Story that can give you will to play but can be totally ommited if you don't care (click and forget). It is possible to attack side you wish. Help one fraction, then destroy it helping the guards. Who cares? You are a bucnh of some folks earning money and fame. - Entertaining mini games. Crafting, plraying bard songs, mining. All of them are sort of rythm games and I find them amusing. - Dungeon gamplay. However it could have more fights, dungeons are build like a mix of exploration, mini games, puzzles and taking risk. - Blood, brutal attacks, but... (see cons) - Organising own group, wher death can be a part of our management style. - Many other things you can check yourself ;) Cons: - Blood, brutall attacks but... lack of variety. I thought the game offers brutality like in Fallout 2 where different weapons could damage the enemy in different, sometimes funny ways. Here we have one possible finisher for every type of weapon and it quicky becomes boring. It feels worse that what Fallout 2 offered. If devs could add more "spice" to this sections and more animations. - Companions bugs. I can understand many things but male companions and female companions having mixed voices are off. Big bearded man talks with the voice of "young lady" or blonde woman with deep male voice. Still not repaired. It happens "at once" from time to time in taverns. - AI flaws. I can't understad a soldier standing on the field with attack prepared to be executed after few turns in obvious situation, where it can't be effective. It happens even on expert.

Didn't expect this game to be as good as it was, reading some of the critics, decided to not go with level scaling, and I have been having a blast. And so far I have no complaints, the game hooked me instantly, it has everything I like. There could always be more content but as it stands it's feature complete and extra content is just welcomed. I have never heard of this dev team but you guys killed it, amazing game.

Tired of being a hero in DnD? Well, Dungeon Crawl Classic is an answer to that. None of your characters are in their ideal profession and therefor adds a bit of struggle. Min Maxers HATE this game cuz their smooth brains can't handle the fact that the character isn't 'ideal'. Overall it gives you compelling choices and the choices you make shapes what happpens to you later. You have to manage wages, money, food, and happyness. Yeah, theirs some randomness to it, but to me, thats fun.

Wartales is slowly becoming a staple among the sparse list of games I play for extended periods of time, put away, forget about, and bring out again. It scratches that itch that games like Mount and Blade 2 or Age of Wonders 4 failed to, it's a nice RPG-sandbox hybrid with well thought out combat, extensive array of activities and a not-completely-uninspiring quest system. Compared to similar titles in the genre, Wartales seem to stand head and shoulders above the rest in quality. However, it still has a lot of room to grow, lots of content to be added. I'm giving 4 stars for now, because I see some balancing issues especially with the leveling system, and the mid-late game is too grindy to be enjoyable with the current amount of content. I also find the price tag for the DLCs a bit steep, but I undertand that indie projects need a lot of support to grow so I don't consider it a negative, just a personal opinion.

Love this game. Been playing a few days and it is just fun. The battles, the world it is in. Just want to play it more. Only thing is it took a day or so just to figure out some of the basic so google is your friend
