Warlords III: Darklords Rising

Anyone who played strategy games in the '90s knows of the Warlord games. Particularly the first one, but Warlords III is - as one might expect - a more polished version. Not that the AI is anything to write home about, and combat is still pretty simplistic, but this game has aged well even so. I was pleased to find that I enjoy it just as much today as I did some 20 years ago, and I don't think that's all nostalgia. Even back then it was not at all the best strategy game I had played, but it was just so lovable all the same.

A hassle free method of playing on my modern systems is a gift.

I have been looking for this game for nearly 20 years, ever since I played the demo when I was still a kid !! Today, patience is rewarded and off we go to spend time questing! I used to play this with then limited knowledge of English language, and even though it was a demo I do remember up to this day the details, rage and trying of it all, over and over again. For fans of TBS this is absolute must, worth WAY more than its price tag. <3 GOG

This was our choice entertainment. I've been searching for this off and on and always came up with the other title. So, insta buy, insta like. If you like turn based strategey with an element of RNG and great artwork. Dont wait. Especially if it's on sale. Speaking of, i'm 'getting the band back together' to have good ol chips and dip, moutain dew and hot seat marathon! ... tho in our age its gluten free veggie chips, low fat dip, and caffine/sugar free brown bubbly water.... this game was worth it for the life experience tho.

The only reason I'm on GOG is this superb irreplaceable gem. First played it when I was 16 and now after almost 20 years looking for a problem-free version to run on modern PCs, finally.. Finally. Beautiful and magnificent as I remembered it. Thank you GOG. God bless..!
