Summon the Elector Counts!
I bought this game years ago but I could never get around to playing it before I lost it. Now thanks to the amazing work of GOG and other members online I can play this gem. It's not as large scale as Total Warhammer but it plays more like an army simulator. You have units and heroes all with their own levels and equipment you can equip them with. It's a much more RPG experience than a map painter that current warhammer strategy IP has become. It runs great and it's something I can always come back to for that hit of nostalgia. The old world is not dead so long as games like this can continue to be a light in the darkness. Now all that's left is to raise your arms and go to battle once more. FOR SIGMAR! FOR THE EMPIRE!

Succesor to the Horned Rat and Dark Omen
This game came out following the classics Shadow of the Horned Rat and the Dark Omen games. You can definitely see the lineage of those games in Mark of Chaos. MoC has several of the key features from those games like the unit/squad movement, persistent army and the money aspect (fortunately, in MoC you can't go bankrupt and lose the campaign that way). Money is easier to come by than in those games as well. All in all, it's a worthy descendent of those games and an interesting midpoint between the old games and the Total Warhammer series.

A prototype of Total Warhammer series
i have been playing this game on and off since it came out because of the setting and i gotta say, its above average. there are things that game doesnt tell you, such as some heroes have a secondary ranged attack that they use if you pair them up with ranged units and spearmen class units are more effective vs large units such as cavalry and monsters etc first chapters of all 3 campaigns are hard because the player is getting to now the units, heroes and gold is somewhat scarce to upgrade units. but after chapter 1, game becomes easier, even in hard difficulty. also hero duels are an interesting game mechanic, but ultimately pointless. you can win all dues without then need to invest any skills in dueling skill tree. i give this game 6.5/10
