Top notch. High-rez banners and badges.
The upgrade works a treat. I was concerned that my previous colour schemes would all have to be re-created, but you can dump all of your badges, banners and your schemes (profiles) in the path: users\AppData\Roaming\Relic Entertainment\Dawn of War The game automatically detected the two mods I had installed in Soulstorm (no unit cap and UberPainter) and switching between them is a breeze. I will point out though - using the Army Painter while running a mod alters the UI, in effect chopping off the left and right sides of the interface. However, I have found I can just activate the mod before gameplay and any changes I have made to the scheme seem to carry over. I was able to add in new badges and banners at higher fidelity - the old badges were limited to 64 pixels square, the new ones can now be 256 pixels (I haven't tested higher). Banners work at the dimensions 256 x 384 pixels. It seems that the scaling the game engine is using is pretty good with respect to the old custom banner / badge textures, they're a little blurry but much better than I expected. Sound fx is great too, my army seems a lot more talkative than before. The main bug I was having in Soulstorm was occasionally starting a game and having no unit responses, making it hard to know when events had happened like building a unit or being attacked. That bug seems to have been squished nicely. This upgrade is fantastic, and works really well. I'm very happy. Now I have to take my Tau army, the "Exeter Cricket Club" to slaughter some more Orks.

A Great Remaster!
You know when you remember how good an old game was, only to go back and realise that it didn't look or play quite as well as you remembered? Well, if you have this, it will live up to your memories, and more! If you've played Dawn of War, this really is a must have (I know that's an overused statement, but I do mean it). If you never have played the original Dawn of War (not its strange sequels), get it - it was considered a masterpiece for a reason :)

It's solid
- The graphics/resolution and performance is solid - They added Grid Keys and hot key display on the UI - All campaigns in one launcher I mean, if you are into RTS, and know anything at all about Warhammer 40k. And you are not interested in this, that would be wild.

Just love it
One of my first RTS games from the 40k universe was Soulstorm, then got the rest of the set, so love that now I can play them for a few more years with improved graphics and sound, for the rest (unless it's some stability issue that is like plumbing in a house, you never notice until goes wrong) don't notice great changes from the original. Still a great game both in storie and in action, can be tough but can be played to win.
