Wanderlust: Travel Stories

Wanderlust: Travel Stories is basically "80 days" but realistic and grounded in reality and "true" stories and thus significantly more boring. compared to 80 days it also lack some of the game-elements such as inventory management and what little gameplay elements are there(stamina/stress gauges) can pretty much be ignored. the presentation is also exceedingly boring, wall of text where you pick from options that all boring, accompanied by what I assume is stock photos of the places you visit and a map overview. I give the "game" 1 star for functioning properly and I guess it does what it does ok-ish if you're into that kinda of stuff, but I would definitely recommend people get 80 days instead if they don't already have it - it's the far superior title.

If you consider it as a game, it slow, dull, and boring. But if you consider it as a novel... It also slow and boring... Pick any book from your shelve instead.

Very peaceful and does a great job of stimulating the imagination and taking you away from whatever is on your mind. LGB content is frequent, assumed normal, but not central to the story, as far as I have played.

Text holiday simulator

...the slow games are the best games. Sometimes it's fun to frantically shoot zombies in their heads and sometimes... As I've always loved travelling but never got the funds to make longer journeys, I've instead read a lot of stories about travelling, using my imagination. This game is relaxing and still fun. For me it's also a good way of learning another language, as english is not my mother tongue. The only critisism I have are for the pictures. I expected a bit better pictures from the various locations, from inside train stations and airports, maybe a few animations to give an illusion of travelling. Aside from that, if you want to relax a bit and maybe learn something, buy the game.
