Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines™

It's ahead of its time, brimming with character yet heavily limited in some of the aspects fundamental to the medium. I want to see more of the world this game creates, and I commend its ability to engross its audience in that way. But as a video game? It fails to live up to its potential. I will be playing it again, though. I wish I could rate it 3.5, so I guess I'll round up.

FPS RPG with vampires, dark atmosphere and gore.

A rough gem from the early 2000s, VTMB shows that players will notice when devs put love and care into their games. Though the dev cycle really hurt the final product, I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone interested more in the story than the mechanics.

I have owned this game (on disk) since 2004 and played it since 2004. When my computer wouldn't play it any longer because of "technology", I downloaded it from $team. They don't keep it updated, so I moved over to GOG where I have played it ever since. If you have a good sense of humor & understand this game took place in the 90's, you will have a blast. A Gen X must play.

This game is a heartfelt story-driven RPG set in the World Of Darkness universe that perfectly blends a pen-and-paper RPG with stealth and combat elements that feel challenging and refreshing. The dialouge and voice acting is great, the characters feel very fleshed out, what you do matters in the world, multiple endings, loads of quests, and great graphics for the time period it released in. It's world will suck you in and bite you straight in your ass if you do anything bad or good. Luckily, GOG patched it and it practically runs like a dream. Please, go out and buy this flawed gem. It's worth every second of your time and has tons of replayability and has a large modding community. Buy it now!!!!! :P
