Unmechanical: Extended

Not hard, not complicated, cuter than it has any right to be, and generally just pretty relaxing. A good purchase for a casual gamer or someone new to puzzle games. Not a bad back up game if you're looking for something to just chill for a bit on.

As others have said, this game focuses on exploration and puzzle solving. You learn everything by just testing what a switch does and where a pipe leads without anyone holding your hand which is great. The controls are really simple and yet allow for some clever puzzles. But, alas, the game is way too short. You can breeze through it in one sitting and while the atmosphere overall is great, the game just ends into blankness. I was wondering if it was just some clever device to fool me into thinking that this was it... but it really was. That's why I wouldn't recommend buying it for the asking price here and instead wait for the chance to get it in one of the many bundles in the net. It's nice to have experienced this game, but you get more for your money on other titles.

Pros: Fantastic music, gorgeous graphic, solid gameplay with simple controls, amazing setting, varied creative puzzles. Great 3 hours experience. Cons: Too short. The ending was abrupt.

Picked up this game after watching a review of it and I'm very glad I did. To begin with, the setting of the game and the visuals are beautiful. You really do lose yourself in the environment when you play and the location changes keep things fresh and interesting. The controls (I used mouse/keyboard) are very simple to use and work flawlessly. I didn't have any problems getting around or completing the puzzles in that regard. The puzzles themselves aren't incredibly difficult. The only ones that may cause some difficulty are the ones where timing is essential. I really, really enjoyed playing this game. I loved the style and I loved the puzzles, even those that frustrated me for brief moments. The only issue I really had with the game was the length. I really wish it had been longer or they had come out with a second game or DLC. I would love to continue the journey in some way. Definitely a good buy if puzzles are your thing.

A very nice game with lots of possibilities for an expansion. The ending is a bit surprising and leaves a slight feeling of an unfinished product as the story could be told further. This is just my personal opinion, your experience may be totally different, so do not take this too close to heart. But apart from that, great puzzles, cute graphics and immersive gameplay make Unmechanical a really good game.
