Unepic

Graphic: up to date Language: International Gameplay: Fun Recommendation: Buy Modern game with some flat humour. Makes fun to play. Very good for short sessions during breaks or other opportunites for short games sessions.

I recently finished Unepic on Hard++ (Hardest mode) and I'm about to start playing it again as a caster instead of a warrior. It's by far my favorite game of the last year; goes to show that a game doesn't have to be AAA to be excellent. Humor-filled-Metroidvania would be the best way to describe this game. The humor is blatant and doesn't try to be subtle. I've yet to try the multiplayer but it's currently being worked on. Out of all things, I'm glad to have another game that can give a difficult, but fair, challenge.

Loved it. Quick, interesting, great graphics and funny. Best of all....I'd check online for some help...and see that people were accomplishing the same goals with totally different tactics. A most flexible game. Now...it's tough a spots...and I needed help to figure some things out. But overall it was awesome and I'd play another game by the same guys in an instant.

I'm not great at writing reviews, but I just wanted to throw out a quick opinion on this. Overall, this is a well-made, super-fun, "Metroidvania" style game. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of this style of action-platformer. Personally, the only real problem I've had with it is that the humor is very... Meh. And it's in the game. A LOT. But it's not so bad that it draws away from the solid gameplay. Anyway, I genuinely recommend this game!

Some complain of the game's use of vulgarities in it's humor or dialogue, some even cry 'mysogenistic!!" over a realistic depiction of what is on a horny young male d&d geek video gamer's mind. I had an option to specify my age prior to game start. Maybe the option menu should include checks for unrealistic freaks now. The game rocks. I've played more hours of it than i'd care to admit, been gaming 'since the 70's and I know a great game when I see one. This is great stuff.
