UnderRail: Expedition

Excellent expansion.

While the flaws of the main game (cryptic/directionless character creation, endless backtracking, worthless vendors, exploration being pointless, certain fights being literally impossible for certain builds) are just barely tolerable, I found the combat encounters in expedition unbelievably unfun, even the easy ones. And there's no real way to play the DLC quests without extensive fighting. If you enjoy being frustrated by RNG and save-scumming 100 times a session, then the atmosphere and story are pretty cool.

The base game is one of the best crpgs to come out in the last couple decades. A true successor to FO 1 and 2 style crpgs. This expansion is massive and adds a lot of content. An actual, real expansion. My only criticism is that it is an expansion and not a sequel. And that the devs are so, so so, so, so, so, so annoyingly slow at releasing games. What the release is gold, but I doubt their next game will come out before 2099. This is a must buy for all true crpg fans with quality taste. Its not up for debate. Underrail is the litmus test of if you like crpgs or not. If you are reading reviews to see if you should buy this, without knowing in your core being you have no choice but to buy this, you are a broken person with a broken mind.

I should have never bought the DLC. The main game made me regret it enough. So much time spent playing, so much effort. It NEVER pays off. I was bored. I was very very bored. I played and played and played, but it never EVER became fun for me. all I got was a big pounding headache and an indescribable urge to quit and uninstall Underrail and The DLC. I don't even care anymore. I did not finish the DLC because I did not want to anymore. I have had enough. It's just so tedious and grindy. I should have trusted everyone who didn't like the game and the DLC. I should have trusted them. This game and the DLC made me feel a special type of tired the sleep simply can not fix in only one night. I would actually go as far as to say that I'm genuinely and sincerely and honestly upset with everyone who made a video or wrote a review to say that underrail and the expedition DLC were good. I'm just, JUST, JUUUUST... *sigh* You're all perfectly entitled to your opinions. That's good and fine and I would shake all your hands and give you a respectful nod, but wow, I'm really mad at you all. Take that as you will. Everyone is different, Yes. I wish you all nothing but the best. But I'm still mad. I want to say "gg" but it wasn't "gg". *sigh* *sigh* *sigh* I need a nurse to give me hugs and feed me hot cocoa after this. The levels of trauma I feel. Sweet Lord.
