Underrail is an old school isometric turn-based RPG set in a distant future, when the life on the Earth’s surface has long since been made impossible and the remnants of humanity now dwell in the Underrail, a vast system of metro station-states that, it seems, are the last bastions of a fading race.
The player takes control of one of the denizens of such a station-state whose life is about to become all that much more interesting and dangerous, as our protagonist is caught midst the conflicting factions of Underrail as they violently struggle to survive in the harsh underground environment.

I own this on another platform, but want to recommend it here.
If you want an RPG to sink your teeth into, and one that puts hairs on your chest, this is your game. It's old-fashioned and merciless. It will punish you. At times it's frankly inscrutable. But if you like the atmosphere and the classic mechanics, it will draw you in and refuse to let go.
It's not an incredible story, but the setting is immersive and the dungeon crawls are as crawl-y as they come.
Be forewarned, it's excruciatingly difficult at times and you'll probably have to reroll once or twice unless you read a guide, but this is the kind of old CRPG that kept players up at night in years past.
I have this game on Steam and I've got around 340 hours on it. I would heavily recommend this to anyone who likes intricate gameplay and crafting systems. In this game the crafting system is one of the best and it feels like you're scavangeing for parts to create your weapons and armour and the game rewards you for bothering with it by giving you much better items than what you would've found ohterwise, hell there's even a "crafting" system for some unique weapons where you have to find parts for them to improve them.
The turn based combat in the game is one of the best I've ever seen and it outshines Baldur's Gate 3 or Divinity Original Sin 2 when it comes to combat if you can stand a grid-based system and less graphics. At the beginning you'll feel like a simple peon struggling with some rats, and by the end of the game you'll be able to clear whole rooms alone, the replayability is insane and the amount of builds you can create in this game is astounding.
So let's just go through the different archetypes you can create in the game: Melee, Ranged and Psychic, sounds simple? Sure at the beginning it is, but then there's additional stats that add a lot into the mix. Want to make a melee character with spears? Well instead of going full strength you can go with Dexterity as well. Want to diversify your build with Psy powers? Well, say hello to the Hammer Wizard with Strength and Will as main stats or Spear Wizard or just go full psionic and kill enemies with your mind no melee or ranged weapons needed. Want to make a ranged Sniper? Go full Dex and Stamina. Want to create an electrical pistols build? Go pump up your intelligence alongside the pistols skill.
This is just what I remember from my playthroughs, the DLCs also added the previously mentioned spears, shotguns, spears, machine guns, grenade launchers, miniguns, Oh and as you've already guessed each of the weapons has their own archetype and build you can go for, so there's never a reason not to replay.
This game has some of the best rpg mechanics ever devised. Its turn based tactical combat is among the best. It is the only game with a crafting system I actually enjoy. It has an absolutely massive game world and will take easily over 100 hours to complete, with excellent fun throughout and character building that will leave you with a yearning to replay. Old school design and challenge combined with modern refinements. It is difficult to find a title to recommend more to fans of CRPGs.
