You are afraid. You are forced to hide. Those who served you till recently have suddenly turned against you. Now they hunt you. They’ve kidnapped your friends and family. You have no idea where they are or what's become of them. There is nothing you can do about it. Your only option is to hide, surviving with no hope, not understanding what’s going on around you. You are an outcast, an outlaw, because you are human.

Humankind has disappeared. Robots rule the Earth now. In The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day we saw an inventor robot named RT join a small group of like-minded machines trying to help the few surviving humans.

The protagonist of Light At The End is one of these survivors—a girl named Emily. Help Emily discover the real reason behind humanity's disappearance. Was it an AI gone rogue or something else altogether?

Great potential, but flawed execution

Ths game is full of good ideas and there was clearly much work done on world building and design. Each level feels credible even though the graphical flaws (aliasing and shadows are terrible even with VSR and max settings) and the story plays simple and relevant. Unfortuntly, the rythm is jagged, animation is poor and doesn't let characters being engaging, and more globally the scenery (it's a narrative game, so yes, scenery is key) suffers questionnable choixes in execution (very bad puzzles that should just have been cut, many micro-cutscenes that weren't necessary...) Still waiting for the next installment, the project itself has much potential

Still good but could be even better

Alright, that's supposed to be a sequel to "Last Quiet Day" but it's actually not. Not storywise at least. Of course I don't suggest starting with this one because the first one's main revelation will be ruined. About the game now. Graphically, it is okay (some human's animations look awkward). The audio is fine too. I'd like it to be gloomier though. Seems too shiny for a post-Apocalyptic scenery. The story shows the situation from the side of the humans. The riddles are fine too. What I really didn't like, was the fact that WASD is even more necessary than in the first part (this is supposed to be an adventure game and they're meant to be mouse only). In Last Quite Day, you could spot something with the mouse and by clicking there, the robot would walk over there so you could avoid some WASD walking. Not in this one. Here, the hotspots will appear only after you're close to them, and only then you can use the mouse to interact with them. Plus the mouse is used for full 360 camera control, while it only moved the camera slightly in its predecessor. This removes points from the game's "direction" as there are no specific cameras, and adventure games depend also on the camera position. One more thing I didn't like was that there was too much dialogue. And lastly, it's too short, like the first part. I'd suggest you buy it at an offer, when it's under 5 euros.

A decent indie game

The game has nice graphics and pretty decent puzzles. I haven't encountered any major bugs, so that's a yes from me.

Androids are coming, beware!

I like the touching story and anxious atmosphere of the game, the graphics is pretty good too. The puzzles may look a bit difficult at first but you get used to them soon. Some polishing would make it even better so now 4 out of 5.

Worse than part 1

It's short, I've got more the 5 crashes during the game. Graphics and control are better than in the first part. But it's still bad: some times there is no face animation, no sound\voice in anoter place, black screen instead of credits... and stupid puzzles.
