You are afraid. You are forced to hide. Those who served you till recently have suddenly turned against you. Now they hunt you. They’ve kidnapped your friends and family. You have no idea where they are or what's become of them. There is nothing you can do about it. Your only option is to hide, surviving with no hope, not understanding what’s going on around you. You are an outcast, an outlaw, because you are human.

Humankind has disappeared. Robots rule the Earth now. In The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day we saw an inventor robot named RT join a small group of like-minded machines trying to help the few surviving humans.

The protagonist of Light At The End is one of these survivors—a girl named Emily. Help Emily discover the real reason behind humanity's disappearance. Was it an AI gone rogue or something else altogether?

Unfortunate Save System

This is the first game like this I have tried. It is a 3D cinematic quality found-object, puzzle, and stealth game. It is intriguing that the keyboard-mouse control guide is a simple diagram. And there are prompts where movement is possible all along the way. I experienced 3 kinds of problems. 1. The usual warning texts at startup are quite long and not presented very long at all, and I am a speed-readery. 2. There is no way to request a save or to know when a save point has been reached. 3. After doing simple things for a quest and having a key to a safe, opening the safe confronts me with a difficult geometric/numerical puzzle. Not exactly what one expects after already opening the safe. At that point, I had to shut down the game, wanting to return refreshed at a later time. That is when #2 bricked me up the side of the head. I would have to do far to many tedious object collections and stealth advances to get to the safe and open it again. That's just not OK. I have uninstalled the game. I had high hopes for this game, although it is a little tedious. But the too-far-back on next start of the game case is just unacceptable and I have given up.

Came for the looks stayed for the game

Been really surprised by what this game turned out to be - for a story-driven indie game this is a true gem. The story is catchy, exploring is interesting, puzzles are fun, everything works together really well to my taste. I enjoy it

Not finished

Well, what to say about this game ? If this is a gem munkomunk says, it is still a rough gem that needs more polishing and some patches... There are some great issues with the localization... particularly the French localization. This localization is not finished... and I can't read Russian... Sometimes the sentence looks strange (or I don't understand the humour). Moving is sometimes difficult.. you must go left before going forward and you don't know why... You can't change the keys... W stand for forward and it's all. Saving remains random... There's no key to save the game... Nevertheless there is an auto saving but you don't know when it happens... When playing, if you want to quit and come back you'll have to replay what has not been saved... Well, there are some strange things that happens in this game, you meet a Rubik's cube and a Japanese statue but you don't know what to do with and why you get them... Else it seems to be an exploration game without inventory which is strange but playable. For the story... I need to replay the game. I will give another opinion when I will be able to immerse myself better in this game. A note about the story : the introduction movie is cheap...

Ok... but needs work.

As far as continuing the story from the first chapter, it does a pretty good job and gives us a look at this from the human perspective. Overall I enjoyed the story, but the gameplay itself seems like a backward step from the first chapter. It's incredibly buggy. I didn't find anything game-breaking, but there were quite a lot of things that were not spent time on getting right. There is missing dialogue. The voiceover doesn't quite match the subtitles a lot of the time, like a poor translation. You ever watch a foreign show or movie on Netflix and put the audio to English and the subtitles to English, but they aren't quite the same? It's like that. Sometimes a character will start speaking their line halfway through the sentence. Sometimes people will magically speak without moving their mouths. Everyone seems to have only one facial expression, no matter if they are angry, happy, sad or whatever. A lot of the time they just look in one direction, even if they are speaking to someone else. Most of the conversations are just filler... They add a little to the character's backgrounds but mostly boring AND unlike the first game, there's no option to skip dialogue. You have to sit through some pretty mind numbing conversations. It just seems like it was released before it was fully tested. As an example, in a scene a mother is supposed to be holding her baby, but the baby is invisible! Most of the gameplay revolves around fetch quests. Go get someone a cup of tea. Go get something to fix the squeaky crib. Go get the 3 cables a character needs. When you aren't fetching items, you are moving from cover to cover to avoid being seen. Scattered in between fetching and hiding, you have a few logic (or trial and error) puzzles to contend with. Nothing taxing on the brain. This isn't anything on the level of the Tex Murphy puzzles. But, for all it's faults... I did enjoy the story and look forward to there hopefully being another game to see what happens next.

Dissapointed

Ive been waiting for so long for this but neither story nor the characters can realy convince me. Game starts boring and does not realy pick up. The Bugs dont really matter, but the characters and conversations are poorly designed. To sad, I loved the first part.
