What is Unbound?
Unbound: Worlds Apart is a challenging, atmospheric and hand-drawn puzzle-platformer set in a universe where all worlds are connected by portals. You control Soli, a gifted young mage who has the power to open portals and control the unique properties of each world - such as inverse gravity, time manipulation, super strength and more.
Using these newfound skills, Soli must journey across dangerous and mysterious worlds, each brimming with secrets and challenges. You must use every skill Soli has to defeat a ruthless evil that is tearing reality apart, while learning the shocking truth behind your world’s collapse.

I'm deep into this game, Umberra level, and it's been a fantastic platforming experience. Not as difficult as Ori, not as ambiguios in your direction as Ori. Just a very well thought out game design. Not sure why this game didn't take off. Yes there are parts where you'll die quite a few times but nothing too crazy. It's just that right amount of difficult to be rewarding and not rage inducing.
In all my life of playing platformers and puzzle/platformers, this must be the second one I might not finish (the first being Montezuma’s Revenge on Atari XT when I was 6). Not because it’s bad; in fact, it’s definitely one of the best I played, with pleasant art and always evolving mechanics to keep you engaged. It’s just. So. Damn. Hard. Can you press X five times per second in exact intervals to a microsecond, for five seconds? The level of precision, hand-eye coordination and timing is, for me, insane. And yet, it does not feel unfair, like being swarmed with OP enemies does. It’s seriously, as the younger geerations say, a skill issue. It’s been lying on my disk for the last half of a year like a silent remorse, and I don’t know if I’ll muster the courage and will to make another attempt to git gud.
If you breeze through all platformers and want to really challange yourself, this is the best there is. If you want something cozy, wholesome, and relaxing like Ori, and were drawn by the cute art style, run away.
Bought it 1.69 CAN, playing with my daughters, everybody like it ! Less is more, this game go far away Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture.
Got thrill like doing a battleroyal in counterstrike sometimes...
