Nice, but short
The game is difficult, but I had fun with that. The storytelling is a bit weak. Thanks for support linux :)

Enchanting puzzle platformer
Sort of like a cross between Hollow Knight and Braid. You've got the big-eyed character in a scary crumbling world, but instead of combat there are puzzles and platform challenges. There are a couple of different interesting mechanics, all relating to moving the area around you to a different dimension where the terrain or physics is different. Only complaint would be some of the dungeon layouts can leave you back-tracking a bit and it's maybe trying a bit too hard to be like other popular games.

Nice game hindered by difficulty spikes
The game is quite good: the art, the soundtrack, the level design, the mechanics. However, there are some segments where the difficulty has brutal spikes that ruin the overall experience. Unless you are very skilled at platform games, you'll probably find yourself repeating those segments tens of times, and what makes them especially frustrating is that they are too fast for you to reason about what is happening; you'll have to either be instinctively quick or just die and retry knowing what to expect. Sometimes, the difference between life and death is just sheer luck. I don't think it's fun to play a game thinking "how much time do I have before the next hard section", with the risk of having to spend 2h on a single section. That being said, I completed it, but at the cost of a decent amount of unexpected frustration. That's why it's only 3 starts. A more balanced game would have got 5.

Unbound is a really good!
No handholding from the start, almost an old school platformer with puzzle elements. Clearly inspired by Celeste from the new school but also older new school titles like Super Meat Boy and such. Really like this game a lot!

What a challenge..
I recommend Unbound: Worlds Apart. Unbound is the second Metroidvania i've ever played. I can tell you, it was challenging. + The art style and music were wonderful from start to finish. + The different portals added another layer to the game that i really enjoyed. + Solving the puzzles always made me feel like i was really smart. + I didn't find any bugs, just a few moments where i blamed the game rather than my inexperience and stupidity. + The game is challenging, but even people like me with little experience can do it. ++ Overall, i had a lot of fun and if you like games like this, you won't go wrong with Unbound. - The only thing that bothered me a little was that i couldn't turn off the vibration of the controller. I don't like it that much in general and in this game there was an issue where if i paused the game during the vibration, it wouldn't stop until the sequence that triggered the vibration was over. I think this is a bug but it doesn't affect the gameplay at all.
