Ultima™ 9: Ascension

When this game was released, it was really very beatiful, the story is ok, as every Ultima games it had a big map where you could visit every ultima's games (like Aren but ... the inverse :) ). It is not a bad game but it has so many bugs and lags that some places can be a really nightmare to play. In fact, there is no optimisation in Ultima 9 but if you played the first games you should enjoy this one... in theory :)

i played this growing up my uncle gave me the disk. I litterally over clocked my graphics card in order to play it back than. burnt the thing out after 20 hours. but it was worth it.

ULTIMA IX is a GREAT game! In 1999, this game was released under VERY DEMANDING computer specs. Only the top of the line computer of the day would run it smoothly. If you did not own a fully upgraded and modern computer in 1999... well, you were punished severely when you tried to run this game. Bad press and reviews followed. After a few computer upgrades (in 1999), I was able to run this game out of the box flawlessly, and had a blast! Sure, it watered down the storyline just a bit, and moved away from the hardcore Ultima player, but was still a VERY GOOD GAME, in fact, one of the best released in its time. Now, your computer should have NO PROBLEM running this game smoothly... give it a shot, and don't let those who played it in 1999 convince you otherwise! GREAT release GOG!! Keep it up!

What's a Paladin indeed. Worst game ever. Way to ruin it, EA!

Ultima IX is the perfect game. This game and many Ultima games have taken me thru endless journeys into a worlds I could enjoy always. In Ultima IX you can swim,climb,jump,also swim underwater. How many games out there let you do that. Thats not all. The story of the game was very nice too. I really enjoyed myself in all the Ultima games. I gave this game a 5 out of 5.
